You can start a presentation via four options

  1. Topic

  2. Bullet Points / Notes

  3. Full Draft / Script

  4. Source Material

Creating a presentation

💡 Use the Topic option when you have a topic in mind and want the AI to develop the content.

In this tutorial, let’s create a presentation on the topic “Present continuous tense.”

Presentation options

In the content screen, you can choose different options to change the output of your presentation.

  1. Presentation Type - Education Lecture

  2. Audience - High School Students

  3. Tones - Explanatory

  4. Language - English

  5. What else should we know? - Here, you can add the instructions for the AI.

In this example, we’re instructing AI to add examples to each slide and add quizzes at the end.

💡 These instructions only affect the textual content which means if you add instructions to change fonts, colors. It wouldn’t work.

Context

On this screen, you can choose if you’re presenting it live or sending the presentation for reading.

What’s the difference?

  • Presenting Live - The AI would write short sentences in the presentation

  • Sending to read - Presentation output would be verbose. Choose this option if you’re sending a presentation for reading.

Let’s choose the “Presenting live” option and select “Auto” for the “How long should it take to present option so the AI can automatically create and choose the optimal number of slides. In this case, at least eight slides.

When you click Continue, you’ll be presented with the outline of your presentation.

Presentation Outline

This is your presentation outline. You can see how many slides will be created for your presentation on this screen.

Outline heading: Each outline heading will be the title of your final presentation.
Outline description: This is a concise description of what content will be covered in the slide.

💡 You can add, edit or delete any outline heading or description.

Controlling the number of slides

The outline editor will show you how many slides will be created in your final presentation. However, if you’re unhappy with the number of slides, you can always click on the “Edit topic and Setting text” and add instructions about how many slides you need.

Choosing theme

Once you’re happy with the outline, you can choose a theme, upload your logo, and select if you want to add AI Images / Web images or have both.

Final presentation

Once the presentation is created, all the slides will be added to your current presentation in Google Slides.
