Fix Google permission errors in Google Slides

Google permission errors in Google Slides mean the add-on was denied access to your presentation or account. This usually happens when permissions were not granted, were removed, or are blocked by an admin policy.

Re-authorize the add-on

  1. In Google Slides, open Extensions β†’ Add-ons β†’ Manage add-ons.

  2. Find SlidesAI and click Manage.

  3. Click Remove access, then reinstall the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace.

  4. When prompted, grant all requested permissions.

Check your Google account

  • Make sure you are signed in with the same Google account that installed SlidesAI. Check the account picture in the top-right of Google Slides.

  • If you have more than one Google account signed in, sign out of all except the one you need, then reload the tab.

Check admin restrictions

If you are on a school or work Google account, your admin may block outside add-ons. Ask your admin to allow SlidesAI in the Google admin console, or switch to a personal Google account.

Do not click "Deny" on the permission screen. If you already did, remove access and reinstall the add-on to trigger the permission prompt again.
